Mobile Makerspace
Objective: Develop a mobile makerspace that enables individuals from any profession to engage with engineering through low-resolution prototyping.

As the inaugural Projects Lead at Texas Inventionworks, I collaborated closely with Scott Evans, director of TIW, to realize our shared vision of offering engineering through low-resolution prototyping to a diverse audience, both within and beyond the engineering field.
I believe that engineering should be accessible to all and serve as a tool to enrich educational and entrepreneurial experiences. For students, engineering provides the opportunity to create physical models of the systems they study, deepening their understanding of these systems’ functions and applications. For entrepreneurs, it allows for the efficient development and refinement of multiple iterations of their ideas, accelerating product innovation.
The mobile makerspace we developed is equipped with 3D printers, basic electronics, and small craft tools to bring ideas to life.
I had the opportunity to showcase this mobile makerspace for the first time at the Startup City Limits event, hosted by the Harkey Institute of Entrepreneurial Studies. During the event, we conducted a circuit-building workshop where participants assembled a system that illuminates an LED when a button is pressed. Our aim was to offer an accessible engineering experience with a low barrier to entry.
